I like to keep these 5 scriptures from Momma Trauma in my “back pocket.” Whether my challenges are personal or global, they give me strength, hope, power, cheerfulness, and courage!

5 Scriptures Mothers Need to Hear (Especially Hurting Ones)
- For Strength – Helaman 5:12
And now, my daughters, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.
I am built upon the Rock – the devil has no power over me.
- For Hope – D&C 128:22
Sisters, shall we not go on in so great a cause? Go forward and not backward. Courage, sisters; and on, on to the victory! Let your hearts rejoice, and be exceedingly glad.
I MATTER – MY EFFORTS MEAN MIRACLES!
- For Power – 2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
I know fear is from the enemy. Power, love, and a sound mind are from God!
- For Cheerfulness – D&C 123:17
Therefore, dearly beloved sisters, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed.
I am cheerful and trust in the arm of the Lord.
- For Courage – Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
I am STRONG and COURAGEOUS! My Savior and Champion is with me.
